Spooky Spider Treats.

Carson's classroom treats were easy-peasy to whip up.
They've been doing a unit on SPIDERS this week and wrapped things up by watching Charlotte's Web today.

{Side note: Carson is deathly afraid of spiders.  Like FOR REALS aracnaphobia.  For him to actually participate in this 'unit' is a GIANT step!}

I figured'spider' treats would be the only way to go today!

Four ingredients.
That's all you need!

* Break your pretzel sticks in half and put four sticks on each side.

* Dot a little frosting gel on the backs of your eyeballs and stick em right on.

That's it!!

Hoping those 2nd graders gobbled them down!

{Double side note: My OCD was telling me that these would have been EVEN cuter, had the pretzel sticks been dipped in chocolate first.  You they would've matched the body of the spider.
Oh well.
'Aint nobody got time for that' today.

Can you believe it's HaLLoWeeN?!?
Having kids make this holiday SO much fun.

London as Rapunzel 2011
Is that wig not the BEST THING EVER?

Spidergirl 2012

Foster/Coombs Cousin clan 2012
Here's whats on tap for the BIG day:

* Take London and her two cute little friends to dance class.
They get to WEAR their costumes to class today...always a highlight!

* Make and deliver treats for the boys' school classes.
I had high hopes of preparing something fabulous yesterday BUT...I got sick so it's crunch time today.
{Follow me on Instagram HERE to see what I come up with.  Might not be anything fabulous at all!}

* Carving pumpkins after school.
It's boys verses girls.
Joe and the boys deco one pumpkin and London and I deco another.

* At 5:00 the Lamoreaux family will all come over for my mom's famous chili, pumpkin breadbowls, salad and cornbread.  My parents will pass out Halloween candy to all of the little kids while the rest of us adults will take our kiddos around the neighborhood.

* We'll wrap up the evening by watching:

It's a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
{What a classic!}
while sorting and counting all of the kids' loot.

I have a rule where I just let them go at it with the Halloween candy for about 2 days and mysteriously disappears.  Funny how that happens.

I, myself, will be digging through their stash for all things REESE'S, Peanut Butter M&Ms and Snickers.

Does anyone else wish that school on Friday had a 2 hour delay?
I'm envisioning LOTS of sugar comas that morning.

Happy Scaring!

2-fer Tuesday.

2 new finds that I LA-LA-LOVE!

I hate seafood.
The ONLY reason that I EVER agree to going to Red Lobster is because of their cheddar biscuits.
{I think I could easily pound about 5 of those in one sitting}.

Did you know that they now sell their biscuit mix at Sam's Club?
I am ecstatic.

We tried em out last night with our chicken noodle soup and they were DIVINE!
Super easy to whip up too.

Anytime you mix Peanut Butter and Chocolate - -
it's a 100% chance that I'm gonna LOVE whatever it is.

'Tis true with these Muddy Buddy Chex Mix snacks.

Since they're technically a 'Halloween' product...I'm hoping they go on sale for 50% off
after Thursday so we can stock up!

2 New Movies
that I Can't Wait to See:
I have a soft spot for Vince Vaughn.
 I really do enjoy him.
SUPER excited this movie comes out just in time for Thanksgiving.
{The holidays are my VERY FAVORITE time of year to see new movies}.

This movie came out just recently and has already gotten RAVE reviews
from everyone who has seen it.

I'm going this weekend with my hubbers to watch it for ourselves.

It's a TRUE STORY about two Mormon Missionaries {one of whom was from Gilbert!} who were kidnapped and held for ransom while serving in Russia.
{Can you EVEN IMAGINE?!?}

This Weekend:

I have a rule that NO cooking is allowed on Fridays.

* Friday morning London and I stopped by Bosa Donuts.

It's incredibly dangerous that they just opened one up EVEN CLOSER to our house now. has a drive-thru.
Oh.  My.  Yum.
I cannot resist!

* We ran a few errands and then met Joe for a little lunch date at Apple Dumplings.

And you can't go there and NOT get a mint chocolate chip sundae for dessert...

They chill their sundae glasses.
I think that's what makes them so tasty.

* Friday night we took the kiddos to their school COSTUME BALL.
The music was loud, the place was crazy and the kiddos had an absolute BLAST!

Not to mention....Carson won SECOND PLACE in the COSTUME CONTEST.

Is that not the funniest costume you've ever seen?!?
He wears it SO well, huh?

* Saturday was spent watching LOTS of college football...

London doesn't really 'get into' sports quite like the boys do so she finds other ways to amuse herself.

Her brothers are such good sports.

*Basketball game for Grant.
They lost this time....{cue Debbie Downer music}.
Still....SO fun to watch.

* Saturday night was the annual Trunk or Treat at our church building.

The kids were ecstatic all day long, anticipating this.
Joe even got in on the DRESS UP action...

Isn't that mullet sexy?!

* Late Saturday night I headed over to our Stake Halloween Dance and helped with refreshments.
Stake teenage dances are some of the BEST people watching around.
Add on top of that...COSTUMES...and the people watching gets EVEN BETTER
{and more awkward}.

* Churchey-church on Sunday.
I handed THESE Halloween treats out to my girls.
My advisor taught the BEST lesson on Gratitude.
LOVED this particular quote:

"The grateful man sees so much in the world to be thankful for, and with him the good outweighs the evil.  Love overpowers jealousy, and light drives darkness out of his life."
- Thomas S. Monson

Makes me excited that we are getting ready to celebrate THANKSGIVING.
I LOVE this season!!!

* Sunday night we headed over to Joe's parents house for family dinner.
We're so lucky to have our families close by!

We ate shredded beef nachos and they were divine.

The kids played outside and London ended the evening by tackling Uncle Kent.

Only 3 more days until HALLOWEEN!
Just stocked up on my candy today. {It was going FAST at the store!}

On my list of to do's this week:
Find outfits for our family pics.
{Siggghhhh.....the most dreaded day of  the year. Haha!}

Fun Finds Friday.

With it only being a week until Halloween...spooky things are flying off of the shelves left and right.

I did still manage to find a FEW FUN FINDS this week, however.

How cute is this Photo Booth Kit from Walmart?
I picked up a set the other day and we had SO much fun at our Family Home Evening with it.

Only $2.24 - - can't beat that!

Also at Wal-mart - - how cute are these crayons?
And how nice would it be to for your kids to get something OTHER than candy this year?
Perfect for a little classroom something or other, I'm thinking.

Note to readers:
 If you see cute Thanksgiving stuff...pick it up FAST.

I swear every year as soon as Halloween is goes STRAIGHT to Christmas.
It's like they forget about Thanksgiving ALL together in the stores once Halloween is done.

Hobby Lobby has these cute place cards and I don't know about you but I LOVE it when we all go around the table and say one thing that we are THANKFUL for.
LOVE these cards.

Do you love Ron Burgndy?
Are you as excited as my husband and I that Anchorman 2 is coming out this December?
{We seriously get the giggles!!!}

In celebration....Ben & Jerry's has released a SCOTCHY SCOTCH SCOTCH flavor - filled to the brim with Butterscotch.

Must. Try. Soon.

P.S. Have you been to GYMBOREE lately?
They have some SUPER cute stuff right now.
Gymboree is {sorta} a hit or miss for me.'s been a BIG HIT.
And almost everything is on sale right now.
Side note: Their girls stuff is ALWAYS cuter than their boy stuff.

Happy Shopping!!!

Clever Halloween Costumes.

Halloween is officially only ONE week away...
can YOU believe IT?!

I've never been a BIG costume 'dresser-upper' myself BUT I always get a kick out of others who do.
I LOVE seeing what people come up with....
ESPECIALLY when COUPLES dress up together!

Here are some CUTE. FUN. & CLEVER costume ideas I've found lately:

Humor Sharing
Two.  Big.  Boobs.
It does not GET any funnier than that people.
IF Joe and I WERE to dress up....I'd do this one.
It is HILARIOUS to me!!!

My brother-in-law and his wife dressed up with some pretty clever costumes a few years back.

SHE wore a robe with newspaper clippings on her shirt and she was a
  'News' flasher.

HE wore cereal boxes all over his shirt with knives sticking out and he was a
  'CEREAL' killer.

Dishfunctional Designs
For any of my MALE readers....this one is PERFECT and oh so simple!!
All it takes is GRAY paint samples from Home Depot.
Clever, no?

Hawaiian Punch girl.

Can you STAND the CUTENESS of this little boy dressed up as the
 "UP" old man from the movie?

Her Campus
If you're not a fan of dressing up....this costume is for YOU.
Jon Krawczynski dressed up as 'FACE' book.

What are YOU and YOUR little ones dressing up as this year?!?

2-fer Tuesday.

2 Random Things
I Think You Should Know:
{I really need to do a Random Wednesday soon}.

1.  My husband is OBSESSED with the new
Mighty Wings at McDonalds.

Like. REALLY REALLY obsessed.
I'm not over-exaggerating either when I say he's had them for lunch
EVERYDAY for the past 2 weeks.

AND.... I even found wing crumbs in amongst his computer keyboard yesterday.

He needs a 5 step program to get him away from these things.
I've tried em and they aren't THAT good.

2.  Speaking of those wings.....our family DIES laughing at this commercial whenever it comes on:

We watch A LOT of football in our house and this commercial plays A LOT.

2 Recipes You Should Know About:

We had some fun friends over for Dinner and FHE last night.

I made Chicken Enchilada Soup, Salad and a Hot Corn Dip served with tortilla chips.
The soup is a family favorite and the Corn Dip recipe is from my sister and OH SO YUMMY.

Chicken Enchilada Soup

26 oz. can cream of chicken soup
26 oz. can ranch style beans
4 oz. diced green chilies
26 oz. chicken broth
2 cans of Rotel diced tomatoes with cilantro and lime
{This gives the soup a little kick.  If you don't like 'kick' then just add regular diced tomatoes.}

Rotisserie Chicken - shredded

Combine everything in a crock pot or on stove.  Can simmer all day if needed.

Garnish with your choice of cilantro, cheese, salsa, sour cream or crushed tortilla chips.

Hot Corn Dip
{Sory no pic.  We snarfed it down too fast.}

2 cans of corn niblets
1/4 cup of diced red pepper
1 can of diced green chilies
2 cups of grated Monterey Jack cheese
2/3 cup grated Paremsan
1 cup mayonnaise

Corn Chips or Tortilla chips, for dipping

Preaheat your oven to 350 Degrees.
Grease an 8 1/2 x 11 casserole dish.

Mix everything together until fully combined.
Spread into prepared dish and bake, uncovered, until bubbly around the edges -
about 30-35 minutes.

Serve warm!

These 2 recipes would be PERFECT
 to whip up on Halloween Night!

Halloween Soap + Pinterest finds.

Looking for a cheap and easy gift to give to friends, teachers, co-workers, etc this Halloween?

Last year I handed out these bottles of soap with the attached tag:

Wrapped em up with cellophane and a polka dot bow and it was easy peasy.
My local Bath and Body Works is already all out of their Halloween soaps but I've seen cute pumpkin shaped soaps at both Wal-mart AND Target.

Meanwhile...I've been a pinning FEEN lately.
The holidays bring it out in me.
SO many cute ideas out there in the web-o-sphere.
{Follow me on Pinterest HERE.}

Here are some of my very favorite Halloween PINS these days:

Kara's Party Ideas
How fun are these Pumpkin Pretzels - - with green M&Ms as the stems?

Party Pinching
Thinking these would be a SUPER EASY classroom treat to bring in.
Pudding cups + crushed Oreos + Ghost Peeps and candy pumpkins.

Honey and Fitz
And how cute and easy would this Mummy Door be?
White sparty streamers and eyes made out of construction paper.

Happy Halloween Prepping this week!
I've ALMOST got my kids' cosutmes all put together...phew!!

This Weekend:

* London I headed to Costco on Friday to get the 'yooj':
Toilet paper, paper towels, Clorox wipes, trash stuff like that.
London is obsessed with this Halloween shirt lately.
We ate lunch there...London had the pizza and I opted for the hotdog.
LOVE Costco's hotdogs.
They really are some of the best around.
Only problem?  You burp them up for the rest of the day.
It's a price I'm willing to pay though, I guess.

* Friday night we took the kidlets out to dinner HERE
and then went onto our local highschool football game.
Friday Night Lights.
Chandler style.
My nephew plays in the drumline for the band and so it's always fun to go and watch him play.

Nephew, Sis, Kiddos and cousin Kate.
We definitely did not go prepared.
We wore flip flops and short sleeves and by half time
the temps dipped down to 69 degrees and we were FREEZING!
{Yes...we are AZ wimps}.

We headed home, had hot chocolate, tucked the kiddies into bed
and Joe and I watched a 2 hour Dateline.
{Man, I love me a good Dateline!}

* Saturday, a new basketball season started back up again.
{Carson opted to sit this season out.}
Grant was on fire.
Leading scorer.
And since he's my son...I can brag like that, right?
His games are seriously so much fun to watch!

* Joe took the boys to the ASU game Saturday afternoon...

....while London and I babysat my friend's one week old daughter.

Isn't that the tiniest little love muffin ever?
London was quick to inform me that she'd rather have a baby sister than a dog.
I was quick to inform her that neither were in our future.

* Churchey-church on Sunday.

Have you heard the good news?

The Gilbert, AZ LDS Temple is ALMOST complete
 and will be open to the public from January 18 - Februrary 15 in 2014.

This is exciting stuff people!!!

If you've ever wondered what a Mormon Temple was all is your time to come and visit one!  It's only 10 minutes away from our home and we could not be more thrilled.

It will be dedicated on March 2, 2014 so you MUST go and check it out before then.

Onto a new week with all things HALLOWEEN on the horizon.

A Halloween themed FHE with fun friends tomorrow night,
the kids' school COSTUME ball
our ward TRUNK or TREAT.

Lots of fun in store, indeed!

Fun Finds Friday.

My boutique is over and I can finally breathe again!
{Pics of my Christmas wreaths coming soon..}

Here's what I've spotted as I've been out and about the last little while:

How cute are these mini gable boxes from Target?
Guess what makes them EVEN cuter?
They're only $1.

These little ghost cups were just a cute idea I spotted at my local scrapbook store.
Super easy.  Super cute.
Fill em with candy and you have yourself a classroom treat.

I'm not sure why but each year, I find the need to buy my boys a cute Halloween shirt to wear to school on Halloween day.  I thought these 2 from Target were perfect.
{I'm a sucker for cute little minions.}

Are you in Young Womens?
If's a steal of a deal for cute Christmas presents for your girls.
These socks are $1.50 at Micheals.
Buy em and wrap em with this THIS poem.
{If we didn't already give SOCKS to our girls for their birthdays, I would so be doing this.}

Speaking of Christmas {can you believe it's just around the corner?!?}...
These bags, also found in the $1.50 bins would be cute to do something with.
I'm thinking.....homemade cookies and a cute little thing of chocolate milk?
Would make a super easy neighbor gift, no??

And these ornaments just scream 'classroom party' all over em.
Guess I should maybe stock up seeing as how I'm room mom for both my boys.
Wouldn't they make a cute little craft with a picture inside?
{Spotted at Michaels}

And last but not least....I really need to practice self contol everytime I see this aisle at Hobby Lobby. They seriously have the CUTEST wrapping paper.
{And I may or may not be obsessed with good wrapping paper}.
All of it is 40% off right now!

Happy Shopping and
Happy Weekend!!!
It's in the 80s here this weekend with 50s at night.
