2fer Tuesday.

2 'Bath & Body Works' Must Haves:

Ummmm...this just might be my favorite smell EVER.
This candle is the BOMB.
{Thank you Maureen for gifting it to me today.  It's been burning ever since!}

Just stocked up on my soaps and branched out a little to try this one. Yummmmmmmmm. Adding it to my list of favorites.

2 Reviews We Need to Chat About:

They're finally here and I finally tried them!
They are VERY tasty.
But tasty.

Normally I can pound like 3-4 of those Reeses Oreos - - THESE have such a rich flavor however - - I stopped at 1-2.

They'd be PERFECT all crushed up and served on top of vanilla ice-cream, I bet.

This one's for my local peeps.

I FINALLY tried out the Queen Creek Olive Mill for lunch today with some of my dearest friends.

Food was SUPER yummy.
Ambience and setting - - LOVED.
Gelato - - AMAZING!
Service - - meh. Not the happiest of workers there.
Let's just leave it at that.

Fall Teacher's Luncheon

Last week I was in charge of a LUNCHEON for the teachers and staff at our school.
{This little gig of mine is really the BEST!}

I picked a FALL-ish theme since it was the day right before everyone got out for FALL break.

We had soups and salads and bread bowls in the shape of pumpkins....

These were hands down the BIGGEST hit.
If you live locally - I purchased them from
{We order them every year for Halloween!}

I used mini pumpkins to decipher each soup.
We had everything from Lentil and Sausage, Zuppa Tuscana, to Chicken Posole and Broccoli Cheddar.
And they were ALL super yummy.

Of course there were LOTS of sweets....
{HeLLLLLoooooo. What teacher human doesn't LOVE sweets this time of year?}

The teachers all ate inside of the Teachers Lounge and I decorated each table with some burlap and pumpkins I had layin around from my own stash at home.

It was a super easy way to SPRUCE up the tables.

I LOVE being able to do this type of stuff for the teachers at our school.

They spend SO MUCH quality time with my own kiddos - -
I'll be forever grateful for them!

FALL is HERE!!!!!

This Weekend:

* Friday morning both London and Grant were awarded at an assembly at their school with the
'Character Counts' Award for RESPECT.

SO proud of my kiddos.
{Yes the assembly was outside and Yes it was 90ish degrees and Yes I needed a shower when it was over.}

* Afterwards I ran some errands {dress shopping, bleh!} and then met up with two of my very favorite ladies on the planet.

We try and go to lunch {sometimes breakfast!} at least once a month and man we have fun chattin it up.
This time we ate at Mod Pizza
{I really might be obsessed}.

* Friday night my mom and I went to the CUTEST ever wedding reception for a girl I used to teach as a BEEHIVE way back when. {Sigh....I'm getting old}.
I LOVE seeing my cute young women grow up!

First things first - - they had a Gourmet Grilled Cheese food truck set up at the reception which I thought was absolutely BRILL.

Darling dessert set-up, delicious food and goregous flowers!
Totally blog worthy in my opinion.

Oh and P.S. ......

While we were there...I discovered that my daughter was freakishly good dancing on a pole.
{Should I be concerned? Kidding. Not kidding.}

* Saturday we {finally} busted out our Fall-Halloween decor.
{Pics to follow once I put the finishing touches on everything}.

To make things even MORE fall appropriate -  -
it rained for us! Again!!

Buckets and Buckets of rain!
{Yes...since rain is so rare out here, I usually always let my kids play
 outside in it if they want to.}

* Saturday night I spent the evening with my mom and sister at the General Womens Broadcast.

Looooooved all the talks.
President Uchtdorf's talk was hands down my fave though.
If you missed it - you can read/listen to it HERE.

Afterwards we went to Floridinos for dinner and our
 VERY favorite dessert.....

* Churchey-church on Sunday.
Remember how I told you last week that I get to play the piano in primary for the BEST primary chorister ever?

Well...this week she was at it again.
She taught the kids a new song for Christmas and wanted to make sure they 'felt' like it was Christmas in there.
Is that not the best?!

* Sunday night we had family pictures with the Coombs side of the family.

For reals - are these not the 2 cutest cousins you've ever seen?

Man, it's hard getting little kids in position.
{My kinds were WOUND up!}

Glad to have them done.
Can't wait to see the final results.

* Dinner at Joe's parents house afterwards.
Yummy tacos and DELISH pumpkin snickerdoodle cookies made by my mother-in-law for dessert.
{I need to get the recipe asap so I can share!}

On tap for this week {my kids are on fall break already!}:

* Going to see The BoxTrolls
* FHE at our friends house with a big inflatable water slide
* Oh and making up and shipping off more of these...

I sold out of these FAST!
No worries though - I stocked back up this weekend.
If you'd like to order some you can do so
 in my Etsy Shop HERE.

Happy 1st Week of October!!!
{Can you believe it?!}

Fun Finds Friday.

This week has been GO-GO-GO for me.
LOTS of fun stuff to share soon!

Here's this week's FUN FINDS...

I have no idea how these would taste but aren't they adorable for school lunches or kids Halloween parties??
They're $2.50 for a bag at Wal-mart right now.

Also at Wal-mart.....chevron and damask plastic table cloths.
The kicker? They're only 97 cents!

Adorable wooden spoons at Hobby Lobby.

As well as these fun chevron treat bags.

I keep thinking I'm gonna O.D. on chevron but nope --
my love for it still burns strong!

Lastly - these cork top jars!
They're my new fave thing!
Found them in the $ bins at Target.
Filled em up with fall M&Ms and little tag today.
I really need to go back and stock up on more.

My kids are officially on FALL BREAK now for 2 1/2 weeks.
What to do....what to do....

Happy Weekend!

General Conference Motivators and Handouts.

In just a week and a half, our church will be able to watch our

living prophet Thomas S. Monson speak in

For those not familiar with my religion -

General Conference = the first weekend of April & October where our Prophet and his apostles speak to their congregation from all over the world, in Salt Lake City.  It is broadcast live over the internet and cable television.  There are 4 - 2 hour sessions. In lieu of going to church on that Sunday....we stay at home and watch 'conference' on TV.
 To learn more about it you can click HERE.

This is easily one of my most favorite weekends of the year!
It's a chance to be edified and spiritually uplifted.  And who doesn't need a little of that?

If you teach the Young Womens, and are looking for a little way to encourage your girls to WATCH General Conference....I've done a litte round-up of some of my own ideas.

I've found that you can hand these out: The Sunday BEFORE General Conference, the Mutual night BEFORE General Conference, or sometimes, I've hand delivered them to my girls the NIGHT BEFORE General Conference so that it was fresh on their minds.

Enjoy! Under each picture is the link to where you can download and print these out yourselves.

And maybe JUST MAYBE if I get on the ball this weekend - - I'll come up with a NEW one, too!

This Weekend:

* Friday morning Joe and I got the kiddies off to school...stopped for donuts...

...and then went to our happy place.

There's so much PEACE inside of this building.

Gilbert, AZ Temple

Fun Fact: They're opening up ANOTHER new temple here in AZ....this time in Phoenix.
Wanna go check it out with me?
Lemme know.
It's open to the public before it gets dedicated in November.
I have to reserve my tix soon.
If you've never been through one....you HAVE to.
It's beauty will BLOW you away.

* Friday afternoon was spent jammin out to my favorite
Elton John Pandora station....

.....while cleaning up my house for our weekend guests.
{It's a good thing people come and visit us every now and again - - makes me straighten up a little around here.}

* One of my FAVORITE friends and
 her cute little family flew into visit us Friday night.

Fun Fact: I've know this girl since birth.
Our moms are the ultimate BFFs of all BFFs.

We took them straight to one of our favorite joints for dinner...

{YUM! to their Vino Bambino salad and pazookie!}

* Saturday was spent playing at the pool....

....with even MORE eating out.

We've pretty much laughed our guts out all weekend long.

* Sunday was our annual Primary Program.

It's one of my FAVORITE Sunday's of the year and our kiddos ROCKED it.

During actual 'Primary' time.....

....our darling chorister {and my dear friend} let the kids write their favorite Primary songs on paper, crumple them up and then have at it with her in a 'Snowball' fight.  She then randomly picked up different snowballs and those were the songs we got to sing today.

So.  Fun.

* Grilled Cheeseburgers in our backyard for dinner.
{Not so Fun Fact: my oven is officially broken.  We need a new one. Siggghhh.}

Just ONE MORE WEEK til my kids are on FALL BREAK!
{Helllloooo sleepin in and late nights!}
Oh....and I'm bustin out my Halloween/Fall decor this week - - can't wait to share the pics!
