Christmas Neighbor Gifts: Mexican Hot Cocoa & Our Version of Caroling

Have you ever had MEXICAN Hot Cocoa?
You are missing out.
No more need to try it NOW!

I grew up with a family back in Virginia and the mom of that family made THE BEST Mexican Hot Cocoa EVER.

Because I loved it SO much - - I asked her a few years ago for her recipe so that I could duplicate and share it with my favorite people around the holidays!

I was SO happy she was willing to send it to me!

{Scroll to the bottom of this post for the recipe}.
No I did not make these labels and the person who DID -
I can't seem to find on Etsy anymore since it's been so long.

That same year - - I packaged up the hot cocoa with...

A Christmas Mix CD with our family's VERY favorite tunes.
I attached a tag that read:
Our Version of Caroling

I wrapped everything up in these gable boxes
{labels from The TomKat Studio
and boom! -- my neighbor gifts for that year
were out the door!

MASTER MIX of Mexican Hot Cocoa

{This makes up A TON! I wish I could remember how many batches I made to fill all of my jars but it's been so long that I've forgotten. Sorry!}

10 2/3 cup non fat instant dried milk

1 6oz jar powdered non dairy creamer

2 cup powder sugar

1 16oz can instant chocolate drink mix

(like Nestle Quick)

1/2 cup ground cinnamon
Add 3 Tbs of mix to 1 cup of hot water

Tomorrow concludes my series of Christmas Neighbor gifts

for the holidays.

It's maybe my favorite of all.

It includes Will Ferrell.

That's all I'm gonna say.

 Stay Tuned!
