Diz-ing it up!

The kids are officially on Fall Break now and we are celebrating at the Happiest Place on Earth!!! I'll be back to blogging on Friday with my new October Visiting Teaching handout! For now, I'm going to try and eat as many corn dogs as possible without making myself sick (true story). To follow along on our adventures (and of course for all of my 'interesting photos) from people watching -- be sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter.

Fun Finds Friday.

I've found that if you don't pick up Thanksgiving goodies BEFORE Halloween - - they're never around AFTER.

Because we all know - - once trick or treating is done - - it's straight to the Christmas stuff in all of the stores.

At Target:

LOVE these cute paper placemats for kids at the Thanksgiving dinner table.
$ bins.

Also love these cute chevron plastic containers for treats.
Would be fun to make up some caramel corn to put in there.

Over at Wal-Mart:

I thought these wreaths were super cute.
Not sure if they're the best quality and how long they'd hold up but CUTE, nonetheless.

I'm such a sucker for vinyl tablecloths.
My kids spill ALL the TIME and these are so easy to wipe clean.....

Love the chalkboard look.

Also thought these little paper sacks with chalkboard labels were fun.

I stopped by Old Navy today to get a couple of things before we go on vacation and I was THRILLED when I found these sandals for London for only $3.47 EACH! PLUS 30% off that !!!!!!

Gotta love their clearance!!!
Can't beat it.

2fer Tuesday {on Wednesday}.

2 Things I'm Listening to and
 Loving Right Now:

1. My bro-in-law's NEW album HERE.

It just came out TODAY!!!!
And he's pretty much a big deal so...you should go check it out, too!

2. THIS song.
Catchy little booger.

2 Things I'm Looking Forward To:

1.  Chowing down on a CORN DOG at the Diz next week.

Is it bad that I might just look forward to the FOOD at Disneyland, more than anything else?

2. London's Halloween Costume.

We just purchased THESE boots to go along with it and nope! it's not Anna from Frozen.

Can't wait for the big reveal.

Any guesses?

General Conference weekend is rapidly approaching!
It's one of my very favorite weekends of the

This Weekend:

* I met one of my favorite ladies for breakfast HERE.

See that pile of hashbrowns?
Well, if you order the 'Wolfpack' you get a heaping pile of those hashbrowns with 2 eggs and bacon hidden right in the middle.  It was delish. {And WAY too much food.} Oh... and their bacon?! YuM!!!

* Afterwards, I headed over to visit with a sweet friend of mine who moved out of our neighborhood not too long ago + had a brand new baby.  So fun to see her again and catch up. {Wish I would've gotten a pic of her cute little baby!}

* Friday night, Joe and Grant headed to the ASU game...
{another WIN!}

....while my 2 dates and I headed out to dinner HERE.

This place has quickly become my new fave GO-TO restaurant.  Their boneless wings are THE BOMB!

* Saturday morning was the boys' very last basketball game of the season.

And guess what - - they didn't win one single game all season long.  But ya know what? They had FUN!
And Coach Joe was SO good to them!

He treated them all to ice-cream afterwards....

I sure do love that sweet husband of mine.

Oh...and side note AZ peeps - - -

1/2 price drinks ALL day at SONIC tomorrow!!!!
Woo-hoo - - GO CARDS!

* Saturday night Joe and I attended a SURPRISE 40th Birthday party for my cute friend Amy.

I believe in this photo she was specifically telling me NOT to post any pictures of her 'on the blog'. Uh-oh.

* Our ward primary program was on Sunday.

I got 'teary' playing MANY of the songs on the piano today - - hearing the kids sing about the Savior.

And HOW LUCKY ARE WE?!
Not only did we have our families there to support the kiddos - - but the kiddos school teacher's came too!!!!

We sure do love them.

* Burgers and brownies for dinner and dessert Sunday night.
{And I don't mean to brag but..my hubs really does grill up the BEST cheeseburgers ever.}

*********************************************

On tap for this week:

* Hosting a teachers luncheon up at the school.
{Fall theme + soups and pumpkin shaped bread bowls.  Yum!}

* Filling Etsy orders

* Prepping for DISNEYLAND!!!
Could not be more excited!

Fun Finds Friday.

You guys...
It's almost October!
My favorite month!!!

This weekend I'm busting out my fall and Halloween decor.
I can't wait any longer.

Target unveiled EVEN MORE goodies
 in their $ bins this week:

Wouldn't these be cute to fill with little votive candles and line your driveway with on Halloween night?
{Why didn't I just pick some up when I was there?! I hate that I do this to myself.}

Treat bag toppers.
In polka dots!

These paper containers would be super cute to fill up with caramel corn to give to someone.

I'm not sure but I think my kids would LOVE this.
Comes with a ginormous felt board to play on.

H&M.
Did you know they sell paper holiday goodies?
It's true.

They EVEN have matching cups!

Aren't they cute?

Good news B&B lovers.

Bath and Body Works

Their 3 wick candles are FINALLY on sale!
{Thank you Heather for the heads up!}

Does anyone else's kids play with these.....

Image
London has none but it's all she talks about.

She wants some SO bad.
I think it's going to be a Shopkins Christmas.

What do you DO with these though?
They seem so silly, right?

Lastly - - - Utah peeps - - you've been holding out on me...

My friend visiting UT right now just text me to tell me to check out their website.

OMG.

Darling stuff all over the place!

I might need to make a trip back JUST to check it out in person.

Bread Recipes to TRY!

I love baking.
I REALLY love baking when it's fall.

It's 'cooled' down to the 90s here in AZ so that means FALL is practically here.
{Hehe - it's true!}

Today I'm sharing with you my 3 VERY FAVORITE bread recipes to make this time of year.

And yes - - I add chocolate chips to EACH one.
How can I not?!

{Of course, you can omit the chocolate chips and add nuts or whatever else fancies your pleasure.}

They're ALL 3 incredibly tasty & super easy.
{2 of my favorite things!}

ENJOY!!!

My recipe HERE.

My recipe HERE.

My recipe HERE.

This recipe will forever be known in our house as 'Bikini' bread thanks to my son who just couldn't get the word 'Zucchini' right when he was younger.

2 Fall Recipes I Need to Try ASAP:

This one uses crushed up GINGERSNAPS for the crust.
YuM!!!
And it looks SUPER easy!

This photo makes my mouth water.

2 Bits of Inspiration I Love Right Now:

I love this quote more than you know.

SO true.
I find that I get 99.9% of my answers and inspiration from God - - through impressions in my mind - - sometimes while I'm driving in my car, other times while I'm doing dishes at home. The beauty of it is - - no matter WHERE I am - - it gives me knowledge 'that I cannot get by any other means'

And I am forever grateful for it.

This Weekend:

* Our kiddos had their annual 'Donuts for Dads' at school.

They LOVE it when Joe comes up to the school with them.
I mean, if your dad was double fisting donuts in front of your friends, wouldn't you?!

* Friday night we had a swim party with some of our favorite peeps across the street at our local pool.

We love this pool and we love these people.

* Basketball game for the boys on Saturday.

Coach Joe giving them their post game pep talk.
* Afterwards, we had NOTHING on our schedule {rare!} so we all loafed around at home and it was blissful.

* ASU game for the boys on Saturday night...
Sun Devils WIN!!!

....which meant a mandatory GIRLS NIGHT for London and I.

This involved:

* Shopping at the store of her choice
{Hobby Lobby - a girl after my own heart!}

* Dinner at Cafe Rio
{Can you even stand how good their pork salads are?}

* Dessert at Paradise Bakery
{If you have not tried their peanut butter chocolate chip cookies yet, you need to add it to your 'to do' list pronto!}

* The rest of my evening was spent catching up on last week's episodes of Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert.

Let's talk about these 2.

They are BOTH brilliant!

Jimmy Fallon will always be my #1 but man - - -
 Stephen Colbert KILLED it last week.

He gave SUCH GOOD interviews!

Love them BOTH!

* We dropped by our friend's house Sunday afternoon and they treated us to HOMEMADE mint oreo ice-cream.
YuM!!!!!

* Dinner at Joe's parents house Sunday night.
{The lasagna my MIL made was AMAZING!!!}

Question: How soon until I can technically put up my Fall&Halloween decor and not be called crazy?!

I'm itching to get it out......
