The BEST Pumpkin Bread Recipe EVER.

Every year at this time I feel the need to re-share my Pumpkin bread recipe. It's hands down my favorite and I feel like EVERYONE should benefit from it's goodness. Plus - - it makes your house smell super yummy and who doesn't love that?

Yummy! Yummy! PUMPKIN BREAD

Beat 5 eggs

Add:
1 1/3 cup oil
1 - 16 oz. can pumpkin
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
2 - 3 oz. pkgs of instant vanilla pudding

Mix until creamy.
{Side note: I also hate the word creamy.}
Add nuts, raisins or my fave..chocolate chips.

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes to an hour.

Makes 2 9x5 loaf pans
or
5 2x3 loaf pans
OR
24 muffins.

{If you're making muffins...cooking time will be cut back to around 15-20 minutes.  Just keep an eye em.}

Pacakge em up with some strips of wrapping paper and festive ribbon and you've got yourself a very simple neighbor/friend gift that you can deliver to some of your favorite peeps.

Fun Finds Friday {on Monday}.

Wal-mart {yes, Wal-mart!} has some super cute Halloween stuff right now.

Love these BIG plates.
They're the perfect size for a soup bowl AND some salad or a sandwich.

Reversible banner!
Genius.

This jack-O-lantern pattern is hands down my favorite and they have it on LOTS and LOTS of serving pieces.

Over at TJ Maxx I spotted THE CUTEST little Halloween costume....

If you have a 2 or 3 year old girl - - you really should consider dressing her up as this gumball machine.  SO darling!

Blast from the past...

Joe and I were JUST telling the kids about how much we LOVED 'Ecto Cooler' juice boxes back in the day.

Lo and behold - - they have 'em at Fry's {our local grocery store} now!!!! I bought some up and my kids LOVED them too! So fun.

Over at Michaels - - -

I fell in love with these paper plates.
{In their $1.50 bins}

And these notecards...so pretty!

Lastly....at Hobby Lobby...

Adorable 'leftover' boxes to send home with guests on Thanksgiving.

This Weekend:

* Friday morning I took a trip into Phoenix with my mom to visit my very favorite cake decorating store ever.

This place has EVERYTHING and ANYTHING you could possibly need for your baking needs.  I LOVE it!

Afterwards we hit up Michaels...

SUCH cute stuff all over this store right now.

We stopped in for lunch at NYPD Pizza...

Their 'Soho Salad' is where it's at.
{Don't worry - - it really does come with lettuce. I just snarfed most of it down. Oh -- and it comes on a pizza crust.  If that's not a match made in heaven, I don't know what is!}

* Friday night we attended our ward's Elders Quorum party.

So fun, great turnout and DELISH food.
BBQ ribs, dutch oven chicken, homemade mac n cheese....
I ate way too much. {Shocking, I know}.

* Most of Saturday was spent in my craft room and doing laundry. London and I headed over to my mom and dad's house Saturday night to watch the General Womens Broadcast and have dinner.

I left a better person after hearing the words of these sisters and President Uchtdorf.

OH MY GOSH - - President Uchtdorf's talk!!!!!!!
4th floor, last door!!!!!

It's as if he spoke directly to my heart.

* Sunday morning London begged me to pull out our fall and Halloween decorations.  My living room now looks like the 4th of July threw up on Halloween.

We ran out of time before church and I have a feeling this is going to be like a 2 day task for me. {This is only HALF of the mess!}

* Churchey-church on Sunday afternoon.

These sweet gems performed in our annual Primary Program and I'm not gonna lie - - I was a blubbering mess thru it all!!!

Hearing my kids sing their testimony of our Savior and the scriptures just gives me ALL the feels, ya know?

So proud of them and all that they are learning and becoming in life.

* Dinner at my sister's house afterwards with fun friends.
Carne asada tacos and YUM!!!!! so delish.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
One more week until our fall break begins!
Lots to get done before the kiddies are home 24-7 again.
So happy that temps are starting to cool down a bit - - I so love this time of year!

General Conference Motivator Handout with Treat.

Next weekend just so happens to be one of my very favorite weekends of the year.

It's GENERAL CONFERENCE weekend!

It's always nice to encourage others to share in the joy of this weekend {the messages spoken are always just what I need to hear}!

I like to create a little handout to attach to something each time Conference rolls around - - to deliver to my friends, visiting teachers, etc. to motivate them to watch General Conference.

{To see another one of my handouts click HERE}.

I LOVE this year's handout because I can pair it up with one of my very favorite treats on the planet - - DONUTS!

I plan to deliver my milk and donuts the night before General Conference begins.

These really could be given out though any time between now and General Conference weekend.
{It's in one more week!}

These tags would also be fun attached to those flavored milk straws - - like for primary kids or young women? - -

These can be purchased at any major grocery store.

I of course, will be getting fresh donuts to deliver my milk with. One for them - - two for me! {Kidding, not kidding}.

2 Random Things about Celebrities:
Image

PLEASE tell me you know who Kate McKinnon is.
She just won an Emmy and she's one of THE FUNNIEST girls to be on Saturday Night Live ever. {She's a close 2nd behind Kristen Wiig}.

LOVED this bit from People Magazine...
9 of Kate McKinnon's BEST SNL Sketches

Brangelina.
Why is everyone acting shocked about their divorce news today? Clearly we knew it was coming, right?!

So sad for their kids though.

P.S. I was always more of a Brad and Jennifer Aniston fan.

Fresh Peach Cobbler Recipe

My mom ordered FRESH peaches from Utah last week and gave us a bunch and they did not disappoint!

Some of you may remember this
random wierd fact about me:

CAN'T eat MOST fresh fruit {or veggies}.
 But I CAN eat them if they're cooked.

Weird. I know.
Something with the enzymes in em.

Anyhoozle - - the smell of these fresh beauties all week have been driving me bonkers. I took it upon myself to make Peach Cobbler a couple of nights ago for dessert and YuM....it was tasty!
And SUPER easy!

Enjoy some on this fall-ish day!
{It's cloudy here in AZ. And only in the 90s.  And might even rain. I'm a little giddy.}

Fresh Peach Cobbler
{Adapted & changed slightly from THIS recipe found online}.

6 fresh peaches, sliced and cut
1 cup Bisquick
1 cup milk
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup of sugar

Preheat oven to 375 Degrees.
In an 8x8 baking dish, stir together Bisquick, milk, nutmeg and cinnamon. Stir in melted butter.

In another bowl, mix together peaches, sugar and a couple of shakes of cinnamon. Spoon peaches over the cobbler mixture.

Bake for 45 min to 1 hour or until golden brown.  Serve warm with vanilla ice-cream

This Weekend:

* My Friday morning began like this...

The reason I LOVE working on my laptop at places like this is because of the amount of unlimited soda refills that I can help myself to.  It doesn't take much to excite me, folks!

Also - can we all agree that we strongly dislike the word 'shmear' as used when describing cream cheese?

Why does Einstein's do this?
Doesn't everyone else in the world think of having a 'papsmear' when having to order your bagel this way?

Their pumpkin muffins are in and I'm determined to try these on my next visit.

Meanwhile, while I was eating and typing...

London was busy spending her last day of the week as STAR STUDENT.  To say that she was beaming the ENTIRE week about this is an understatement.
{I LOVE that her teacher sent me this!}

* Date night Friday night at the Temple.

Joe and I really need to up our game when it comes to taking selfies.

It was such a breath of fresh air to be inside of this gorgeous building. It was just the pick me up I needed.

Dinner at Cafe Rio afterwards.
I honestly could never get sick of their pork salads.

* Saturday morning I woke up to these....

Joe stopped at Bosa on his way home from a meeting and I couldn't have been happier. {He really knows the way to my heart, I tell ya!}

* I spent the day decluttering our toy room and then working on Etsy orders...

Crafting to me, is oh so very therapuetic.
I LOVE this sort of thing so much.

* Zuchinni bread was made.
THIS recipe is my all time fave.

Either I forgot to spray Pam on the loaf tins or....
I need to get myself some new loaf tins.

That was how my bottoms turned out but the good news is - - they still tasted DE-LISH and I may have eaten half a loaf all by my very own self.

* Saturday night we attended the adult session of our Stake Conference.  Gosh, I loved it so much.

The speakers were so uplifting and the special musical number that was sung {Savior, Redeemer Of My Soul - my favorite!} had me sobbing ugly tears. GOOD UGLY tears.

* Dessert date with some of our favorites afterwards...

Grateful for these people I call my friends.
Lots of good laughs ALWAYS guaranteed.

* More of Stake Conference on Sunday.
I left feeling like a better person because of the talks given. SO inspiring and SO uplifting.
So grateful to have been apart of it.

* Sunday night meeting with my committee for our big Stake Womens Conference this fall.

You guys!
I am SO very excited for it.
If you are local {outside of our stake} and would like more details about it - - message me!
