2fer Tuesday {on Wednesday}.

Holy. Moly.
{No pun intended....HaHA!}

This series has Joe and I C-A-P-T-I-V-A-T-E-D!!!
We have 2 episodes left and I am dying for him to get home from work tonight so that can we can watch them!

Things you should know: It's a TRUE story.

You guys!!!!

Please tell me that my sister and I were not the only ones on this planet who watched GLOW on TV on Saturday nights when my parents went out on a date?

GLOW = Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, bytheway.

I'm pretty sure my parents had NO idea we watched it.

But now this??????

Month. Made.
Cannot. Wait.

It was my kids' last day of school.
And while MOST moms cry on their kiddos FIRST day of school....I always cry on the LAST.  And's not because I'm losing my freedom for the summer {#kiddingnotkidding}'s because quite frankly....

The last day makes it OFFICIAL!

They are one step closer to becoming adults!!!!
And while yay...I should be happy for their growth....BOO! I want to bottle them up and Beverly Goldberg them for the REST of my LIFE!

Not to mention....

What on earth?!?
How did this happen???

I still VIVIDLY remember his first day of Kindergarten.

And now he's onto 7th grade?!?!
Cue my ugly cry!

Thank goodness for sunglasses this afternoon at the 6th grade CLAP-OUT!

And also....thank goodness for my friend's HOMEMADE cheesecake that I've been drowning my sorrows away upon this afternoon.

Fun Finds {Tuesday?!}

* Throwing a CIRCUS themed party this summer?

Michaels has you covered.
Such cute stuff.

They also have cute, printed wrapping paper in their $1 bins.
Love this stuff!

Over at Target...

I'm a sucker for cute paper plates.
I don't know why - cause they just get thrown out 😜

Hobby Lobby now sells stuff for a DONUT themed party...

Genius! and right up my alley!

Also at Hobby Lobby....

Their fall/Halloween stuff is ALREADY out and Christmas is soon to follow.  IT'S NOT EVEN JUNE!!!!! This is where I draw the line, people!

Back in the $ bins at Target...

Love these patriotic ceramic holders.
Would be cute filled with fresh flowers or utensils for a party.

Flamingo stuff is so dang cute.

These are PERFECT for name cards at a table setting OR food labels on a buffet.

The Dollar Tree has these cute popsicle bubbles for the summer.... chore charts.
Because doesn't EVERY family start a chore chart at the beginning of summer break? {and then it pretty much all goes to pot like a week later?😅}

Lastly....over at Home Goods....

These cute treat cones!
You could fill em with ANYTHING this summer!

Happy Tuesday!

This Weekend:

* Friday morning kicked off with the kids' annual talent show at school.  Fun fact about my kids: they LOVE to perform. Pretty much in front of anyone! So they were in their element, to say the least.

Grant did a hip-hop routine....

London and her sweet friend sang "How Far I'll Go" from Moana...

And Carson was one of the MCs who told jokes in between the acts.

I was SO proud of them!!!

{Special thanks to our PTO president for capturing the above photos while I was busy filming them!}

* In between shows {there were 2} I ran errands like a mad woman and stumbled across a new yummy chicken place - - that thad a DRIVE-THRU!

Locals: Try it! I loved it!
Super yummy chicken tenders, to die for honey butter roll and homemade ranch.  What more could you ask for?

* Friday night I snuck away from the kids early and hit up the store At Home.

Holy Moly!
This place is GINORMOUS!
I'm pretty sure it has ANYTHING you could possibly EVER need for your home.

Well except for me.  I was looking for a square Magnolia wreath and they only had a circle one.  Sigh....

Don't-cha hate it when you get something in your mind that you want and then it's like impossible to find? Story of my life.

Afterwards, I met Joe and some of our dear friends for date night at Bobby Q's in Mesa.

Fun Fact: If you say 'Bobby Qs' out loud - - it sounds like you're saying BarbeQues.  Which is what they serve.😂

For an appetizer - the Q rolls {on the left} stole the show.
Seriously YUMMY and that chipotle sauce was the bomb.

Joe and I split a 3 meat platter and the beef brisket was TO DIE FOR!!!

It was quite the feast!
We had SO much fun laughing and chatting with our peeps.
So grateful for good friends in our lives.

* We came home to this on our bed....

...from London, of course.
Have I mentioned before how much I LOVE having a little girl?!

* Saturday morning we cranked out 100 cupcakes for a dear friend.

* We attended a baptism on Saturday afternoon....

...and then partied it up Saturday night at the pool right by our house.

Our friends rent this out once a year for all 7 of their kids' birthday parties {yeah tha'ts right - they have SEVEN kids!} and it is always SUCH A GOOD TIME!

Joe and his peeps
* Mexican food was in order afterwards and so we talked some friends into joining us HERE for a late dinner with the kids.

I know what you're thinking....a hot dog?!?
At a mexican restaurant?!?!

It's called the Sonoran Dog and it is loaded with beans, bacon, onions, tomatoes, mustard and mayo.

It's pretty dang DEE-LISH.

*Churchey-church on Sunday.
It's always so good to get spiritually fed before the start of a new week.

*3 hour nap afterwards.
That's right - - 3.

* We had our missionaries {Elders} over for dinner on Sunday night.  We asked them a couple of days ago what they were craving and they said 'Chinese food' and so it was Orange Chicken + Beef with Broccoli for the win.

I tried THIS recipe for the Beef with Broccoli and it was 2 thumbs WAY up and SUPER easy!

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

On tap for this week:

* BBQing with fun family and friends.

* The kids' LAST day of school!!!!
How is this even possible?!

* Grant and London's dance recital - - can't wait!

This Weekend:

* Friday morning kicked off with Carson's 5th grade State Fair.

I LOVE that their school does this!
Each child researches a state and then at the 'State Fair' displays said research and then brings a food item coinciding with their state.

Oklahoma = corn muffins, bytheway.

Lucky for me - - - later that afternoon - - Grant had his 6th grade World Fair!

Same idea but with countries.

Chile = Tres leches cake

I basically just ate my way through the U.S and World on Friday without even having to leave my town. 😂

In between fairs....I was at home making cupcakes for a dear friends' bridal shower.

These were piña colada flavored and since I had some left over....i popped some umbrellas in em to fancy em up a little and brought the rest up to the sweet front office ladies at the school.

Also worth noting - - while making my cupcakes, my dear friend dropped by just because and brought me my favorite beverage + a treat she just KNEW I'd love!

Gosh, I love my friends!
{And 2 thumbs up to the Butterfinger/Pb cup combo!}

* Friday night date night.
I met my hubby out at his new store...

It's getting closer and closer to being finished and I am SO excited for him! Also - - I want that white kitchen with the ginormous fridge/freezer combo.

Lucky for us, he's just down the road now from one of our VERY FAVORITE burger joints.

Their menu basically consists of 3 things: a burger, fries and shakes.  So how can you go wrong?
{If you go - - always get The Stand sauce to dip your fries into. It's a must!}

I'm not even kidding when I say that I DREAM about their banana shakes.  They are DEE-VINE!!!!

* Saturday morning donuts with this crew...

We headed over to my church building afterwards so that the kids could play basketball while I practiced the organ for Sunday.

Yup, you heard that right.
For those of you who have ever played it before...YOU KNOW that it is WAY harder to play than the piano.

* The rest of the our Saturday was spent doing chores, eating mexican gas station food for dinner and making homemade salsa {sharing recipe soon!}

* Churchey-church on Sunday.

When I read that part about angels...I get goosebumps.
I just LOVE this quote and promise.

* I survived playing the organ and then headed into primary where I filled in for our singing chorister.

It was so fun.

I love going in there.
I'm sharing my ideas for singing time later this week!

Sharing time was so cute.

London got to be blindfolded and then led by the 'Holy Ghost' to find something.  I'm sure grateful for my childrens church leaders and the efforts in which they take to make learning about the Gospel FUN and MEMORABLE.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

On tap for this week:

All 3 kids are in it this year and they are OH SO excited!
I love that my kids have confidence and aren't afraid to get up in front of people.  Makes my 💜 happy.

* Enjoying every last drip of alone time before school gets out for the summer NEXT week. 😂
