Fun Find Friday.

The kids are out of school and our FALL BREAK officially begins NOW!

Things I'm looking forward to MOST:

* Not packing luches
* Not worrying about homework
* Staying up late
* Sleeping in

Let's celebreate with some FUN FINDS, shall we?

Wal-mart has some pretty cute Halloween stuff right now.
LOVE the above sign.

Also LOVE these polka dot and striped pumpkins.

I LOVE making caramel corn this time of year and these little paper buckets would be SO cute to deliver it in.

Love love LOVE these glass jars!
They'd be fun to fill with candy and use as party favors OR serve beverages in them at a Halloween party.

I keep seeing a TON of emoji stuff out everywhere.
If you're throwing an EMOJI PARTY....these little water bottles would be fun to use somehow.
Only .88 cents!

Over at Hobby Lobby...

Isn't this little 'witches feet' bunting cute?
ALL of their Halloween stuff is already 40% off, too!

These pumpkin place card holders would be fun to get because they'd be useable for both Halloween AND Thanksgiving.
{Fact: I'm a sucker for place card holders.}

YES to these paper tubs.
They're a little smaller than the ones at Wal-mart BUT these have lids.  And I love anything with lids!

Lastly, I was on the hunt for something specific this week which took me into Party City.
{Why is Party City SO dang expensive?}

I just love these little wooden utensils.
And for not a bad price, either!

Halloween Party Ideas.

Halloween is one of my FAVORITE holidays.
I know, I know....
I say that about every holiday, it seems.

But Halloween is really at the tippity-top of my list!

Each year we throw a Halloween Party of sorts and for the next couple of weeks I'll sporadically be sharing some of my favorite ideas from years past.

One year we sent out coffins filled with skeletons and candy bones as our invitations...

Details HERE

Every Halloween, Target sells these boxes of BOOGERS and since I can't resist a good booger pun...

I glued these to the back of the boxes one year and sent em out as invitations.

Decorating the tables may just be my FAVORITE thing about having a party. {Is that weird?}

2014 Party Details HERE
I love that paper plates can be used and STILL look classy!

Everyone LOVES a good game, right?
Especially when PRIZES are involved!

These 2 games are SUPER easy and there's no pressure because you just fill em out yourself and then everyone goes over the answers!

2fer Tuesday.

YES to this cereal.
Not too strong of a flavor which is a good thing with cereal.
{Next up I wanna try the pumpkin spice Cheerios.  Thoughts?}

And YUM! I'm totally adding Ben and Jerry's Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice-cream to my list of things to try this fall.

Circus peanuts + Runts = Monster Toes
So clever, right?

{Raise your hand if you actually LIKE circus peanuts? Fun Fact: my dad does and I think he may be the ONLY person on the planet who does.}

Bread Coffin Dip from So Wonderful So Marvelous
Love how they stuck the skeleton on the side of it.

This Weekend:

* Friday we woke up to FALL{ish} weather here in AZ!
It was such a great feeling!!

Cubby and I actually WALKED the kids to school it was so nice! {Don't get any ideas though - - we were back to driving today because #lazyprobs}.

* I worked on my Etsy shop  and completed some custom orders.

I LOVE working with customers on CUSTOM orders.
It's one of my FAVORITE things.

* Friday night we attened our ward Elders Quorum party.

It was the PERFECT weather that night and the food was oh so yummy. BBQ meats + sides - - the best way to go!

The star of the evening was this 'door prize' though.

Once back home we settled in on the couch and watched our shows.

You guys!
I really think I could dominate the Shazam game show.
For reals!!
I'm seriously looking into how to try out.πŸ˜…

* Most of my Saturday was spent inside my car driving kids from point A to point B and back to point A....times 3.

Carson and London had a primary program practice // pizza party at the church.  Our leaders are the best.  They make things SO fun for our children.

* London had a birthday party to attend on Saturday afternoon. I dropped her off and headed to the nearest Goodwill to browse around.

I am FOR REAL obsessed with the books at Goodwill.
Some of the books I find CRACK ME UP!
{If you follow me on Instagram, I'll have Insta Stories later today with some of my funniest finds!}

* Saturday evening was a special night.
I was able to take London with me to the
General Womens Session at our Stake Center.

I can honestly say I loved EVERY LAST WORD spoken at this conference.  I can't wait to go back and read these talks over and over again. Such good words of wisdom filled with HOPE and PEACE.

Some of my favorite points:

* Be more concerned with being RIGHTEOUS than SELFISH

* Simple love, honestly expressed, gives HOPE to others.

* No matter what, we always have WORTH in the eyes of the Savior.

* Comparison is the THIEF of JOY.

We attended the meeting with our dear friends and then headed out to dinner afterwards.

Such a fun evening.

* Sunday morning was our annual Primary Program!

This was Carson's very last one!
 {Once kids reach the age of 12 they move on from Primary}.

It made my heart a little sad realizing that my kids are growing up so fast.

So grateful for our support system around us!!

Both sets of grandparents were out of town and so our fill in Grandma Judy came as well as London {and Carson and Grant's!} 3rd grade teacher {best teacher ever!}.

It was SO fun to be able to share the day with them.

General Conference Treats and Handouts.

General Conference is upon is and I could not be more excited. My heart is eager to begin hearing the words of our church leaders this weekend at the General Womens Session and then again next weekend.

It's always nice to encourage others to share in the joy of this weekend {the messages spoken are always just what I need to hear it seems like!}

I like to create a little handout to attach to something each time Conference rolls around - - to deliver to my friends, visiting teachers, etc. to motivate them to watch General Conference.

{Hoping to post a BRAND NEW ONE next week!}

For can download and recreate these from years past....

3 BREAD Recipes you really need to try!

Every year around this same time I feel the need to share with my blog readers my 3 FAVORITE BREAD RECIPES.

And good news - - none of them involve yeast.
{Holla! Yeast scares me}.

I've been on a baking kick lately {there's something quite therapeutic about it, right?} and I made up a double batch of my zuchinni bread this afternoon.  My house smells heavenly.

Things you should know about these recipes:

#1. Yes - - I add chocolate chips to EACH one.
How can I not?!

{Of course, you can omit the chocolate chips and add nuts or whatever else fancies your pleasure.}

#2. They're ALL 3 incredibly tasty & super easy.
{2 of my favorite things!}

Random-ness + a Recipe.

I had planned to do my 2fer Tuesday but I just have TOO many random things to share today.

{Happy Tuesday everyone!}

Be still my πŸ’—

Grant sent this to me today from junior high....just because!
I can't even....
{He's totally my favorite for todayπŸ˜†}

* You know how everyone RAVES about the KONG brand for dog toys?

Well....Kong is really gonna need to step it up a notch because...

What started out as that {with 6 legs!}...ended up as this...

So dog is a beast and we need to find him SOME KIND OF TOY he can't destroy.

Are these not the most darling little turkey/Thanksgiving place card holders EVER?

* Speaking of THANKFULNESS...

I think I'm totally gonna do this with my family this year.
So clever, right?

* Last night it was Carson's turn to be in charge of FHE {Family Home Evening}.

I love putting my children in charge of the lessons.
Each week they amaze me at what they come up with.

They're rather simple {we love simple!} and come straight from their hearts.  We usually don't have visuals or even refreshments.  We just sit together for about 15 minutes in our family room and talk about one specific topic....opening and closing with a prayer and song.

Last night Carson talked about BRAVERY and how we need to sometimes just have FAITH and tell others "to heck with it" and do what we think is right.

{The "to heck with it" came straight from his mouth and melted Joe and I's hearts.  I'm pretty sure he wanted to say the REAL h word. He's so dang cute I probably would've let him. πŸ˜‚}

Anyways....we did watch THIS short clip and of course...per usual...I teared up.
 It was exactly what I've been needing to hear lately. NEED to try THIS recipe for Chickent Pot Pie.

SOOOOOO yummy!
I thought about making a crust from scratch but then thought "to heck with it"πŸ˜‚ and used a Pillsbury refrigerated one {just like the recipe calls for} and it tasted DIVINE!
