2fer Tuesday.

I'm a sucker for a good coupon, which I had for these Cookie Thins so I thought I'd give em a try at the grocery store today.

The only problem IS....a serving size is only 5 little cookies.  And I'm pretty sure I could eat the ENTIRE bag in one sitting.
{I didn't. I do have some will power. Not much. But some.}

ATTN: my fellow DOCUMENTARY // TRUE CRIME lovers.
This series on Netflix is the series for you!!!

It follows convicted killer Micheal Peterson and his team of attorneys thru the entire case.  {He allegedly killed 2 different people by throwing them down a staircase.}

And I love it because....I don't remember from the news how it all turns out! 😂

Even if I did...it would still be good.
It's VERY interesting.
{And duh, of course I think he's guilty.}

This Weekend:

* Friday morning summer movie fun at the theaters...

Nothing beats popcorn for breakfast!

And how have I never seen this movie until now?
Props to Illumination for making ALL 3 "Despicable Me" movies SO FUN to watch!

* Summers in Arizona are quite comparable to winters in say, Minnesota.  We hibernate here in the summertime so after the movies we headed home and hunkered down for most of the day.

I mean, wouldn't YOU?!

* Date night with Joe here...

It's my favorite.
And I LOVED walking out to these fresh PURPLE flowers...

They were everywhere and it made my day!

* Dinner afterwards...

We love this little joint.
I never realized until I moved to Arizona that NEW MEXICAN food is a little different than MEXICAN food!

* I hit up Goodwill Saturday morning.
I'm on the hunt for puzzles and games for our cabin trip.
{And this is the BEST place to buy em!}

* We've been dog-sitting my sister's Shitzu all weekend...

Cubby's not so sure how he feels about it though.

* Saturday night Joe and I went to our ward Elders Quorum party at the church.

Games, cake, ice-cream and FUN company!

Awards were handed out at the end of the evening and Joe and I got the......

Apparently we've been in the ward the LONGEST of anyone else in our ward! 13 years! - We moved in right before we had Grant.

This made us feel OLD.
I remember when we first moved into the ward and we were the YOUNG-ins.  Not so anymore I guess.😅

{Also: We really LOVE our ward!}

* My cute friend came and kidnapped me late Saturday night.

I'm so glad she did.
Donuts + girl talk is exactly what we needed!

* Churchey-church on Sunday.
The cutest kid gave his missionary farewell talk and his testimony was SO good to hear.

* Long nap afterwards.
Pork chops for dinner and then I spent the rest of the evening typing up more of my Grandpa's letters from World War 2.

These precious letters have captivated me!!
They were written between 1943-1945 to my Grandma Lamoreaux.

They had only been married for a short time before my Grandpa was called off to war.

He wrote her EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Sometimes TWICE a day.

Typing up these letters is my new favorite thing to do and I can't WAIT to finish and make them all into a book for our family, relatives and posterity.

Happiest Threads.

If you know anything about my family, you know that we definitely go gah-gah for all things DISNEYLAND!

It's pretty much our HAPPY PLACE.
{I mean...isn't it everybody's?}

We were SO excited when Joe's cute sister and husband told us that they had decided to launch their own biz HAPPIEST THREADS with the cutest shirts for Disneyland // Disney World EVER!

Can you even stand how cute this SNACK CRAWL shirt is?
Seriously...who needs a pub crawl when you've got Disneyland SNACKS?!?

And don't even get my started on their CHURROS shirt.

A couple of my other favorites from their shop....

{Fun Fact: Mary Poppins will forever be one of my FAVORITE MOVIES EVER!}

{FUN FACT #2: I've never seen a Star Wars movie EVER. BUT...my husband and kids LOVE them AND...I love the ride Star Tours.  AND...sometimes I fly 'solo' on rides at Disneyland just to get on quicker.}

These shirts have my heart because:

* They are the SOFTEST shirts EVER!
{Carson has been wearing his for 3 days straight!}

* They are UNIQUE.  So many shirts at Disneyland look the same.  These stand out!

* They are made by two of the sweetest people we know!

They offer them in Adult sizes AND Youth sizes AND.....

They're offering all of my blog readers a 20% OFF DISCOUNT on your ENTIRE order!!!!!

Use the code: MARCIBLOG at checkout.

Joe and I just ordered some for the 4th of July and we CAN'T wait to wear them. {Did I mention that they're soft as butter?}

You can check out ALL of their inventory HERE.

2fer Tuesday.

This little gem found on my phone.

I'm so glad that London thinks 'Mom Life' = Polar Pops.

Ok it's not really but....it could be!!

He HAS to be a Corgi mixed with a Golden.
Who's seen him? Aren't I right??

We LOVE his short little stubby legs and girth-y body.

My thoughts exactly!

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Our A/C went out today.
Don't be jealous.

This {Father's Day} Weekend:

* Friday started off with grocery shopping at my favorite store.

Locals: the sandwich bar at the Fry's on Gilbert and Germann is OUR FAVORITE!! They make their sandwiches with Boar's head meat and they are SO YUMMY! A thousand times better than Subway!!

Also...this always happens to me...

😂Who's with me?

* Cleaned out my pantry afterwards.

I HATE throwing away expired food.
I had a lot of it, too.
One can was even from 2014 - EW! right?
Not sure how it lasted that long in there either because I usually try and clean things out a few times a year.

* We had my cute nieces over to play Friday afternoon.

These 3 cuties have SO much fun together.
Somehow we went to Circle K with me saying they could ONLY JUST get slushies.  Somehow they all ended up with slushies AND donuts when we walked out of there. 😂

* Saturday we took the kids to see...

I loved it so much more than the first one!!
GO SEE IT this summer!

* Saturday night we celebrated Father's Day with my side of the family.

We ate dinner at Firebirds.
Can you believe this was my first time there?
I LOVED it!!!

I ordred the cilantro chicken breast with parmesan mashed potatoes and 2 big crunch ranch onion rings.  They were divine.

Dessert afterwards with everyone at Ice-Cream Sammies.
{Try their Animal Cookie ice-cream!}

* Father's Day on Sunday!!!

So grateful for the man in the middle.
He makes our lives so much fun!

Also grateful for this guy....

{This is my all time FAVORITE pic of my dad. This was taken when Grant had just barely turned 12 and they went to the Priesthood Session of General Conference together}.

* Sunday dinner at Joe's parents house!

Yummy homemade lasgana, french bread, salads + homemade chocolate chip cookies.  SO yummy!

Also, SO grateful for my father-in-law.
We love him so much!

We had such a great time with our families this weekend!

Fun Finds Friday + Recipes and Randomness.

* Target $ bins are fully stocked for summer.

Tons of darling stuff for lemonade stands this summer.

Want something cute AND useful to store your strawberries or fresh fruit?

They have a bunch of these cute plastic containers with lots of different sayings and images.

This sight in the $ bins always makes me SO happy to see.

It means the 4th of July is just around the corner and the 4th July to us = cooler temps in one of my most favorite spots on the earth.....southern Utah!

{Cannot WAIT!}

I have a big thing for melamine plates.
{Mainly because my kids can't break em 😂}

How darling are these???
Also spotted at the Targ {but not in the $ bins}.

I think they were $2.99 and $1.99.

* It's Father's Day this weekend and I've spotted DAD'S rootbeer and cream soda at both Target and Costco.  But hurry and go get em because they'll be gone SOON!

* It's totally normal to have Swig for breakfast, right?

* Who needs some yummy DIP recipes for pool parties and BBQs this summer?

I've gotcha covered thanks to one of my favorite friends!

This one is EXTRA yummy!
Use tortilla chips to dip!

This pic does not do this Vidallia onion dip justice.
I could not keep my hands off of it!!

It's just:
1 vidallia onion chopped
Half a jar of mayo
2 cups of cheddar cheese

Bake in the oven until bubbly.

Dip crackers OR chips into it.

SOOOOO good!

* Meanwhile, over at the Dollar Tree....

I saw these cheap, plastic, patriotic hats and immediately thought...

They'd be perfect to hold chips at a 4th of July BBQ!

Also, they have tons of cute red, white and blue paper straws!

Elastic band lollipops?
These would be cute to attach to a gift for a girl.

* Fun Fact: I've never really loved Bahama Bucks.
I'd much rather have a hot fudge sundae with sprinkles than a shaved ice...who's with me? But...
my kids LOVE it and we've been a couple of times since school let out.

The last time we were there I decided to try the Bahama Rama Mama {where they add ice-cream to it!}.

A few bites into it I was on cloud 9 thinking THIS IS THE BEST!  It put shaved ice on a whole new level for me so I took a pic of it to recommend to you....

...but then halfway thru I felt like I was gonna barf and never wanted one ever again.

Is it just me?
Does anyone else feel this way about this place?

* Speaking of sweets...

I just added this place on my list of MUST TRY places this summer.  Locals: has anyone ever been?

* Lastly...my mom is the activities day leader in her ward and look how cute these tithing piggy banks are that she made with her girls this week...

They made them out of the mini plastic water bottles.

So cute, huh?

It's supposed to RAIN here in AZ this weekend and we could not be MORE excited about it.  Our fingers AND toes are crossed. It's been almost 100 days since our last rainfall.
