This Weekend:

* Friday was spent lounging around with an attempt at starting to clean up Christmas.
{Why is that always so depressing?}

* We spent Friday night over at our dear friends' home for pizza and games.

We love hanging with this bunch OH SO much!

Joe was the big trivia winner of the night and scored me a yummy candle from B&B Works.

Thanks for hosting Halb's.
Your new home is GORGEOUS!

* Saturday I shuffled kids around and in between that...I practiced the dreaded organ for church on Sunday.

I had to practice my LEAST favorite song ever.
RING OUT WILD BELLS.
Why do I dislike this song so much?

* While waiting for the boys I killed time at Goodwill.
{Because why the heck not, right?}

Only at Goodwill can you find gems like this!

* Saturday night we had Lam Fam pictures.

It was freezing cold but we survived.

Why are family pictures SO much work?

Also...how cute are my mom and dad?

* Afterwards we headed out to San Tan Flat for
dinner and s'mores.

Thank goodness for the bonfires everywhere because us 'Zonies were FREEZING!

* Churchey-church on Sunday.
Playing the organ was brutal.

If you mess up on the piano - - it still sounds ok.
If you mess up on the organ - - it sounds atrocious!

* London and I spent time over at my parent's house on Sunday afternoon....I typed up some more of my Grandpa's letters.

These letters are so near and dear to my heart.

I feel such a connection to my Grandpa Lamoreaux through these letters.  I cannot wait to finish them all {there are HUNDREDS!} and compile it all into a book for family history.

* Back at home we had pot roast for dinner.
Why does pot roast taste SO extra good on Sundays?

I let Cubby lick the mashed potatoes pot and he's been tooting up a storm ever since.
😂😷

* We ended the weekend with a family game of Clue.

Why is London sprawled out on the floor? And why is there a random roll of toilet paper on the coffee table?
😂

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Coombs Christmas Part 3.

Christmas morning started at 5:00 am when our kids tried to start waking us up.

After coming in, for what seemed about, every 20 minutes...we finally rolled downstairs together as a family at 7:00 am.

We opened Santa's gifts first....and then family gifts.

Cubby even got in on the gift action with a few bones that were practically the size of him!

I whipped up a triple batch of my Cinnamon Roll Casserole and then we headed over to my sister's house for brunch.

We feasted.
My mom made my Grandma's yummy sausage and egg casserole.  My sister made french toast roll ups and sausage.  My other sister made hashbrowns.  And my brother brought the juice.  It was a WIN WIN!

We headed home....the kids played with their loot....and Joe and I took a 2 hour nap.

It was a Christmas miracle.
😂

* Christmas night, per tradition, we went with my side of the family and saw a movie.  We've been doing this ever since I was a little girl.

Mary Poppins  did NOT disappoint.

I smiled through practically the ENTIRE thing.

I LOVED IT SO MUCH!!!!!

The songs! The dancing! The cast!

SOOOOOOO good!

Coombs Christmas Part 2.

* The majority of our Christmas Eve day was spent at home baking and frosting sugar cookies for Santa...

and decorating gingerbread houses.
{Christmas Eve tra-dish}

My friend saved Christmas 😂 by dropping off the most clever, thoughtful gift EVER....

We opened our Christmas jammies....

And then headed over to my Mom and Dad's for a Lamoreaux family celebration.

Mom's table looked cute as ever...
{that's wrapping paper!}

We had our annual cousins gift exchange...

AND doggie gift exchange...

We played games...

My mom busted out the 'ole accordian...

And this year instead of acting out the nativity...the kids each told something they knew about the nativity.  It was so much fun to hear what was important to each child about the nativity.  London talked about the star.  Carson talked about the wisemen.  And Grant talked about the shephards.

*Afterwards we headed home, barricaded the kids upstairs and Joe and I watched "A Christmas Story" on TBS and laughed at all of the same parts we ALWAYS laugh at.

That movie will NEVER get old!

Coombs Christmas Part 1.

* Our Christmas week of celebrations began last Friday.

Grant had his 14th birthday party at Main Event.

This was hands down the easiest birthday party I've ever thrown.  I feel as if I'm entering an entirely new stage with my kids.

I drove them there.  Paid. And then left.

They played for 7 hours non-stop and then I picked them back up when they were done.

It was pretty much a WIN-WIN for everyone involved!
😂

* Saturday was Grant's actual birthday.
How is it even possible that he is 14 already?!?

I swear he JUST started kindergarten and I was bawling my eyes out in the car as I drove away.

We met some of my family for his bday lunch at Moreno's
 {Grant's pick!}
Best bean dip in all the land.

* Churchey-church on Sunday.

I always LOVE our Sacrament services at church on the Sunday before Christmas.  It's so uplifting and really helps us focus on the true meaning of Christmas.

* Sunday night was our annual
Coombs Family Christmas Party
 at Joe's parents house.

My MIL always has things decorated so perfectly.

We all brought appetizers and the food was SO extra yummy!

The kids reinacted the Nativity.

Marilyn made the most darling little keepsake books for each family with pictures of herself as a child along with some of her favorite holiday memories.

{Family History presents = the BEST presents!}

We held our annual grandkids talent show and man, the cousins ALL rocked it!

It was the perfect way to end the weekend and was exactly how we all wanted to spend our Christmas Eve EVE.
