This Weekend:

* Friday I had a sickie home with me.

I tried to get her to take a nap with me {why is that so hard with kids?!} but it lasted maybe only 20 minutes...
{Cubby on the other hand can nap like the best of them!!}

* We realized tacos make everyone feel better so we hit up Cafe Rio for a quick lunch.

* The rest of the day was spent lounging, doing laundry, ordering pizza for dinner and watching Dateline with Joe on Friday night.

* Saturday we had a dance convention for these cute girlies out in Scottsdale.

{Thank goodness London was feeling better!}

* While they were dancing their hearts away, the rest of us snuck off to finally try the Shake Shack for lunch!

It did not disappoint!
Super yummy.
Next time I'll be trying my fries with their cheese and bacon and getting my own shake! πŸ˜‚

* The boys went off to see the Avengers movie afterwards.
{I've never seen one single movie of that series and I have zero desire to ever do so.  Anyone else?}

 I headed back to the dance convention...

So proud of my Londy Lou for working so hard this weekend even with a cough. She crushed it!

* Churchey-church on Sunday.

We had our usual roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes and veggies for Sunday dinner.  Why does that always taste SO extra good on a Sunday?!

* We went over to our dear friends' house on Sunday night to watch their son open up his mission call!!!

I will never not get goosebumps attending these mission opening calls.  THEY ARE THE BEST!  And hooray for Matthew going to the Canada Calgary mission!!! So excited for their sweet family.

Teacher Appreciation: Cookies and Milk Bar.

A few years back I was in charge of all of the TEACHER APPRECIATION stuff at our elementary school.  I LOVED spoiling our teachers.  They do SO VERY MUCH for our children!  Since TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK is coming up soon for most of the country, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite things that I was able to do for our staff, over the next week or so.

One year I created a COOKIES & MILK bar for our teachers to enjoy! I created a sign up online and asked for 12 different people to each bring 2 dozen of their favorite homemade cookies.

We got SUCH a great variety and I think the teachers really enjoyed it!

I also bought the BIGGEST jar I could find at Target...

...and filled it up with about 8 different packages of cookies.
Everything from OREOS to Chips Ahoy to E.L. Fudge.

I had each teacher GUESS the amount of cookies they thought were in there and the winner took home the jar AND the cookies.
{The answer was 222.  And yes - - someone guess it

I whipped up the food card labels and banner and went with a pink theme - - since that's what I seem to have a lot of  in my random collections at home.

It was such a FUN theme and something DIFFERENT than the norm.

Now I have the sudden desire to go make some homemade chocolate chip cookies!!!

Mother's Day Tags.

Easter is over and I still have eggs and bunnies strung all throughout my house.  I caught bronchitis last week and my energy has yet to be back in full effect.

I start to twitch when holiday decor stays up too long.
Anyone else?

Here's to hoping I have it down before Mother's Day.

Speaking of Mother's Day........

I've created some FUN, NEW printable tags that you can use this year!!

If you're in charge of the Mother's Day treats at church or school...these make perfect little favors! Just print them out and attach to a candybar, a bottle of lotion, use it as a card...

You can even get super fancy and punch a hole at the top, add some ribbon and WA-LAH! you've got yourself a fun, little bookmark!!!

You can see more details on my Mother's Day tags HERE.

This {Easter} Weekend:

* Friday was a pretty big day.
London got to go into work with Joe - something she's been DREAMING about for awhile now. πŸ˜‚

She picked out her outfit, borrowed a briefcase from Grandpa   Lamoreaux and even insisted on bringing her own hot pink rolling desk chair from her bedroom.

She was on CLOUD 9!

And completely exhausted afterwards! πŸ˜‚

* Friday night we met up with my side of the family for dinner at Joe's Farm Grill.

My sweet nephew is headed out to Nebraska for the summer to do summer sales and so we had one last hoorah with him!

The weather was perfect and it was so nice to be able to sit outside and eat.

The corn fritters with honey mustard sauce stole the show.
{Try em if you go!}

* Saturday we attended the baptism of our dear friend Alexis.

Alexis is a mom and a wife and one of the sweetest people we know.  My heart wanted to burst right outta my chest when she was baptized.  The spirit in the room was so very strong and we felt so very grateful to be apart of it.

* We partied it up at her house afterwards...

They had the biggest, foamiest, bubble machine I have EVER seen in their backyard and London loved every second of it!

* Saturday night we celebrated Easter with Joe's side of the family!

We ate yummy food, had an Easter egg hunt....

Played Tug of War...

...and then my Mother-in-Law shared some very special stories about her ancestors.

It was such a fun night, being all together!

* The Easter bunny came on Easter morning!
{I feel like our Easter bunny gets more tired each year.}

No pictures, no eggs dyed, no plastic eggs even hidden.
Just baskets filled up and placed on the kitchen table.

That's enough, right?

* Cars stayed home sick from church...

While the rest of us went and heard my parents speak in their Sacrament meeting...

Hearing my Mom and Dad share their own personal testimonies of our Savior Jesus Christ, on Easter, was oh so special to me.  It's something I'll hold near and dear to my heart forever.

* Easter dinner was over at my parent's house...

My mom randomly found some of my old Garbage Pail Kids and it was like a major BLAST from the PAST looking through all of them!

We had our traditional ham dinner with cheesey potatoes, broccoli casserole, carrots and peas, rolls, jello salad, deviled eggs and the most delicious homemade banana cake for dessert!

It was Adam's birthday so we celebrated loud and proud - - what we Lamoreaux's do best!
