This Weekend:

* Friday morning was London's big talent show performance...

She choreographed a dance to Dolly Parton's song 9-5 and KILLED it! The wig was an added bonus.
SO fun to watch her perform.
The girl has NO stage fright whatsoever and I LOVE it!

* In between performances I ran a few errands and did a quick stop at the Goodwill...

I've never read a Hunger Games book in my life but THIS one...I can relate to...๐Ÿ˜…

* We ran the kids around to dance, tumbling and a backyard campout on Friday night and ended the evening back at our house with takeout and London, watching Double Dare.

This show WAS MY JAM back in the day and it excites me like nothing else to see that London loves it as much as I used to.  {It's the little things}.

* Saturday morning was spent doing chores and cleaning out the garage.  Does anyone else just seem to shove things into your garage...thinking you'll arrange it later...and then you never do and then you have a big, fat, cluttered mess?

That was pretty much our garage on Saturday.

* Date night Saturday night at the Temple.

I think we need to just come to grips with the fact that Joe and I are not selfie takers.
๐Ÿ˜‚
We sure give it a good effort though.

* We met Joe's bro and his wife for dinner afterwards at

I forgot how much I LOVE this place!
I mean...any place that serves complimentary garlic knots has my vote, really.

* Churchey-church on Sunday.
Our lesson in Relief Society was on Takashi Wada's talk

So many good nuggets from this talk and such good discussion.  I left feeling uplifted and ready to face the week.

* We grilled burgers Sunday night and the kids played
around out back.

Yes, our grass needs some attention.  Don't judge.

The weather has been unseasonably COOL and I'm so sad to see it all go away later this week.  This will probably be one of the last nights the kids can hang out outside before the summer sizzle {100+ temps) begin.

Fun Finds Friday.

I think mermaid stuff is SO cute!
At the Dollar Tree they have these cute glittery party hats...

And these fun little pens that would be great inside of a party favor bag.

Unicorns also seem like all the rage with girls these days...

These were at the Dollar Tree as well...
Wouldn't these make funny party favors?

Over at Hobby Lobby...

I found the most beautiful paper plates!
Aren't they pretty?
And since they're in the spring/summer section, they're 40% off!

I'm a sucker for buffalo check and these trays are PERFECT for entertaining.

This whole section looks like it could be at Anthropologie...but why pay Anthro prices when you can get em at the Hob Lob?
Isn't this stuff cute?

Lastly...

I have no idea what I would do with this darling little red wagon but I feel like I NEED it.

Maybe set it on my front porch with green plants?

It's super cute, huh?

End of the Year Treats + Printables.

Only 3 days left of school for my kiddies.
Yes...they have to go back for TWO days after Memorial Day.
Lame, huh?

If you're wanting to shower your friends, students, teachers, WHOMEVER with a special little something...I've got a couple of fun tags for you to download.

One - you can attach to any sweet treat!

The other - you can attach a few big gumballs.
{Gumballs found at the $ store and then I placed them in a pretzel sized cellophane bag found at Hobby Lobby or Michaels}.

Simple pimple.

I offer these 2 different tags as part of my STUDENT TREAT PRINTABLES set HERE.

{This set is GREAT for teachers! I also have another set for Students HERE.}

This Weekend:

*Friday I let London ditch school and we had a girls day.
The boys were skipping school to go on a Father and Son's campout so I figured...why not?

London had 2 requests...

#1: that we eat at 'that Bagel Brothers' place๐Ÿ˜‚
and
#2: that we go to the mall

She is MY KIND OF GIRL!!!

We had so much fun shopping around together.
London had a couple of gift cards to use up from her birthday and it was SO fun watching her contemplate what to use them on.

Oh and she had one more request on our way home:
A quick stop at Bahama Bucks.

{Being the only girl in a family really has it's advantages๐Ÿ˜†}

The boys lived it up somewhere by Prescott, near a lake.

Some kind stranger even let them take his boat out on the water and they had SO much fun with it!

* Friday night London had dance practice and then we met up with a couple of our girlfriends and their daughters at
Blue 32 for dinner.
{Fun Fact: I never get sick of this place.}

* Saturday morning my brother and Adam stopped by with their pups.

These 3 doggies have more energy than I do in my pinky alone! {Also: doesn't Cubby's tail look somewhat like Trump's hairpiece?๐Ÿ™Š}

* The boys rolled back into town on Saturday afternoon and then Joe and I snuck out for a little dinner date at one of our favorite mexican joints.

Their #10 is one of my favorites.
A green corn tamale + a cheese enchilada with green sauce.
SO very good!

* We 20/20'd it up back home.
It was a 2 hour one and it was JUICY!

* Churchey-church on Sunday.
We had a sweet missionary speak in our Sacrament meeting who just returned from serving a 2 year mission in Germany.

The last 2 mintues of his talk, he spent bearing his testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ IN GERMAN.  I always love when missionaries do this and I tear up EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

It doesn't matter what language is being spoken.
When someone testifies of TRUTH - - the Spirit can be felt.

* We left church and headed straight to my niece's
Seminary graduation where she was giving a talk.

Wait.
When did my daughter turn 16?!
Isn't she looking OLD?

* We had pot roast for Sunday dinner {a staple now a days!}, went on a family walk with Cubby and finished the night with AFV.

Lemon Orzo Salad.

I've been on an orzo kick lately.
You can find it in the grocery store next to most rice and /or pastas.

It's easy to cook and supposedy good in protein and fiber.
So...win/win?!

Here's a YUMMY recipe to try if you're a fan.
I made it up a few weeks ago and am going to make it up again this weekend, I loved it so much!

Lemon Orzo Salad

12 ounces orzo, cooked according to package, drained and rinsed with COLD water

3/4 package of bagged spinach, chopped

1 can chickpeas or garbanzo beans, drained

1 cucumber, diced

1/2 red onion, diced

Fresh basil leaves, chopped - - add however much you like.
This MAKES the salad!

3 lemons,  juiced

1/4 cup olive oil

3/4 cup feta cheese

Salt and Pepper generously, to taste

Mix everything together, chill and serve!

Seriously YUMMY!

2fer Wednesday.

2 FUNNIES I CAN RELATE TO:

2 IDEAS FOR END OF THE YEAR TEACHER GIFTS:

I think that giftcards will forever be the #1 gift that teachers like getting the very best.  {My sister is a teacher.  So are some of my very best friends.  They tell me these things.}

I've created two different tags to go along with teacher giftcards HERE.

This {Mother's Day} Weekend:

* Friday morning I cleaned out the kids' closets
{why do my kids have more//better clothes than me?}
and filled up a big garbage bag of clothes to donate to Goodwill.

Naturally...when I went to Goodwill, I had to browse through their book section.

I mean, come on!!!

Thrift shopping is very therapuetic for me.
Anyone else?

Baked chocolate chip cookies Friday afternoon.
{Fun Fact: I can easily eat at least 7 fresh outta the oven cookies if I don't control myself.  Who's with me?}

I dropped off some Mother's Day treats to my Ministering sisters.  If you haven't used my FREE Friendship tags for the month yet, don't worry - - I made a set WITH 'Happy Mother's Day' on it and a set WITHOUT so they can still totally be used the rest of the month!

London and I dropped of some baptism treats to our sweet little friend Madilyn afterschool. {Sadly, we weren't able to make it to her actual baptism this weekend.}

* Grant attended his 8th grade Formal with friends on Friday night.

Doesn't he look sharp?

He's known these sweet girls since Kindergarten!
It's been so fun to watch them all grow up!!

* All day Saturday was spent at a dance competition with London.

It's been SO fun to watch her growth with dance this year.
She is SO much fun to watch!

And doesn't she make THE BEST Dwight Schrute?
๐Ÿ˜‚

The girls did awesome and it was fun, long, tiring day.

* Churchey-church on Sunday but first, I slept in until 10:30 AM !!!  Happy Mother's Day to ME!

I'm so grateful to be their Mom.

* We spent Sunday evening over at Joe's parent's house.
The men did ALL of the cooking and clean-up and it was pretty dang blissful.

Our kids have so much fun with their cousins!
