My {healthy-ish} Pumpkin Pie Milkshake Recipe.

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Pure Via®, but all opinions are my own.  #pmedia #PureViaSweet http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

Halloween may be over but PUMPKIN season is not!
In my book - - pumpkin ANYTHING is totally acceptable clear up until Valentine's Day.

Yup, that's right.

I like to indulge upon my pumpkin flavors for as LONG as possible, which is why I'm SUPER giddy about my latest little recipe concoction - - created in my very own kitchen.

This sweet treat is PERFECT for your afternoon lull time {for me...that's between 2 - 4pm every day}. I ALWAYS seem to crave something sweet during this time but don't want to kill my whole day's caloric intake with JUST an afternoon snack.

No worries - - this little Pumpkin Pie Milkshake recipe will curb your sweet tooth WITHOUT adding on too many extra calories AND...help you feel not so guilty for satisifying your cravings.

Here's what you'll need:

1/2 cup pumpkin
1 cup of Fat Free or Low Fat Frozen Yogurt or Ice-cream
3/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/2 banana
1/2 cup of low fat milk OR Almond soy milk
2 Pure Via packets
A handful of ice

I like to sprinkle MY Pure Via right on top of my low fat ice-cream.  It gives it an added kick of sweetness which you all KNOW....I LOVE!

Bonus: Pure Via contains ZERO calories and is made from the pure, sweet extract of the stevia leaf which means NO artifical processing or preservatives.

You can grab a coupon and save $0.55 on
ONE (1) box of Pure Via® Non-GMO, All Natural, Zero Calorie 40 Ct. Packets HERE while supplies last.

I purchased mine from Wal-mart and
they were super easy to find.

Add all remaining ingredients and mix in your blender until desired consistency. {I like mine extra frothy}.

Add a squirt of fat free Whipped Cream on top and toss on a few mini chocolate chips for fun.

SERIOUSLY tasty!
I promise.
It will satsify your sweet cravings
AND not break the calorie bank.

ENJOY!

And as if THAT wasn't enough...

2014 Thanksgiving Decor.

 Thanksgiving is UP at our house.
Oranges, browns, pilgrims and turkeys EVERYWHERE now.

I know I say this about every holiday but....
I really do love THANKSGIVING.

This year my entire Lamoreaux family will spend it together.
I can't wait!
We'll probably carry on the yearly tradition of seeing a movie on Thanksgiving day as well.

Here are a few peeks from around our home right now:

My kitchen table centerpiece.
I threw this together in under 5 minutes and I couldn't be more proud of how it turned out!

Thank you to our neighbors who gave London their GINORMOUS pinecone. Who'd have thought it would make such a great decoration??
{I sorta wanna spray paint it gold.}

Every holiday I buy one new thing to add to my collection of decorations.  This year...it was these pilgrims
 from Hobby Lobby.

HAPPY NOVEMBER!

London on Thanksgiving Day 2013

This Weekend:

* Friday was HALLOWEEN!

The kiddos brought treats into their teachers...

My VERY FAVORITE pumpkin pancake mix courtesy of Trader Joe's. {Seriously - - it's THE BEST.  And it's only seasonal and sometimes they run out so go get some soon!}

Cute tags downloaded HERE.

I helped out with the kiddos' class parties at school....

London's class had a NURSERY RHYME party and that's her being 'Jack be Nimble' jumping over the candlestick.

Shortly after I captured these pics, she fell to the ground, hurt her knee and started crying.  Fun times all around.

I left the school and rushed over to meet Joe at the car lot.

Good-bye Pathfinder....Helllllllooooo mini-van.

Can you believe it?!
Who'd have EVER thought?

The funniest part is that both Joe AND I are
 SUPER excited about it.

As are the kids......

Halloween night we had all of my side of the family over, plus a dear friend who we adore.

We had chili + chicken noodle soup in pumpkin bread bowls.

* Basketball game on Saturday.

Another tough loss but man G played his heart out.
AND scored his first basket of the season.
So proud of him!

* The rest of the afternoon was spent putting away
ALL of our Halloween decor and
getting out ALL of our Thanksgiving decor.

 {Pics to come this week!}

* The boys went to the ASU vs. UTAH game Sat. night.
{Gooooooooo DEVILS!}...

while London and I had our little Girls Night Out.

London picked THIS restaurant and it was surprisingly good!
{My last experience there was MeH.}

The way she sticks her tongue out
while she colors KILLS me. So sweet.

* Sunday we spent the day at home.
Joe and I weren't feelin so hot {nasty body aches} .

We did however, crank open our windows.
The weather was GORG!

Even a bit chilly!

* I worked on my Visiting Teaching handouts
 for this month.....
{Free Printables coming super SOON!}

And I created a recipe to good NOT to share.
My own Pumpkin Pie {healthy-ish} Milkshake!
Details coming on Tuesday!!

Part 2 - Annual Coombs Family Halloween Bash

Usually when we hold our family Halloween party - - we play an intense game of Fear Factor.
You can read all of the gross details HERE.

We wanted to keep it clean this year {and especially didn't want anyone barfing in the yard over gross things tasted} so we switched things up with a Pumpkin Carving Contest.

The kids had A LOT of fun helping the adults do this.
{Yes - - that one on the bottom left says 'Poop'. I won't name names but it was one of Joe's brothers.  The kids thought it was hysterical!}

All 6 of the finished pumpkins lined up!
We had our neighbor come over and judge who's she thought was the BEST......

....and she picked my Father-in-Law's!!!!
Super clever - - it's the one with the 'barf' coming out.

I also handed out a little Halloween Trivia game at the start of the evening. You can find the game I used HERE

The winner of THAT game proudly went home with this...

From Target.
Doesn't that look......gross?

We also had a 'GUESS THE M&Ms in the JAR' contest.
I purchased this jar from Target....

And filled it with 3 big bags of peanut butter M&Ms.
The person who's guess came CLOSEST without going over got to take the filled jar home!

{Note: 3 bags of pb M&Ms = roughly 542 pieces.
I was secretly hoping Joe would win.}

The party favors I made were super simple.

I found some cute paper loaf pans at JoAnns for 70% off and made my favorite Pumpkin Chocolate Chip bread.

Tied it up with a little tag and....wa-lah!

Annual Coombs Family Halloween Bash.

Monday night we held our
 Annual Coombs Family Halloween Bash.

My kids really look forward to this
which makes it all the more fun to plan!

{You can see the invitations we sent out HERE.}

I tried to capture lots of the details from the evening...

Place Settings at the Adult Tables.
Gosh, I love Hobby Lobby's paper plates.
They are MY FAVORITE!

Candy bags are from the Martha Stewart Halloween line.
They're the perfect size to fit just one mini candy bar inside.

I don't know why I'm obsessed with place settings and name cards but I just am.  And these were SUPER simple.

Mini pumpkin + fake spider + name printed on cardstock.

The kiddie table....

Jack o' Lantern tablecloth and paper plates from Target.

We had a POISONOUS POTATO BAR that included
bbq chicken and chili as choice of toppings.

Cornbread Coffins with honey butter

Vomit aka spinach dip

Pumpkin Snickerdoodle cupcakes with severed fingers

And lots of spooky sodas to go around.
{Bottle labels from HERE.}

We had everyone come in costume and Joe's family are really good sports when it comes to this!

It's always fun to see what everyone comes up with.

I even dressed up this year!
Shocking, I know.
Can you guess what I am???

A DEER in the HEADLIGHTS!

Gotta love a good PUN.
It's also quite possibly one of the easiest costumes out there.

Even Grandpa dressed up this year as a Sun Devil fan!

Our house was filled with lots of laughter and love that evening and we wouldn't have had it any other way.

Details from part 2 ... coming tomorrow.......
Games, our Pumpkin Carving Contest and Party Favors!
