Christmas Potpourri with FREE Printable Tags.

Have you started thinking about what to give your friends and neighbors this year for the holiday season?

I LOVE giving out 'Neighbor' gifts.
It's one of my FAVORITE things about the holidays.

I can't WAIT to share with you what I have up my sleeve for THIS year's gifts - - I'm actually coming up with TWO different ideas this year!

Anyhoozle - - I always try to make my neighbor gifts:

* Cost efficient - I usually have to make like 25.

*Creative and Cute

* Something people can ACTUALLY USE, EAT and/or ENJOY!

When I started this little ole blog of mine - - I had NO Idea that one of my MOST POPULAR POSTS EVER would be my Christmas Potpourri in a jar!

The smell that comes from whats inside of this jar is HEAVENLY when simmered on your stove.

It reminds me of my childhood.
My mom used to always have a pot of this burning on the stove around Christmas time when we wer were growing up.  She'd just keep turning it on and adding water to it each day.

So here's what you'll need to make them up:

{FYI they are SUPER simple!}

1 pint jar

3 cinnamon sticks

3 bay leafs

2-3 Tbs. of WHOLE cloves {these will cost you the most}

1 lime slice

2 lemon wedges

2 orange slices

Place ingredients in jar and fill with water.

Attach my printable TAG {below} and you are set!

Here's what it will look like:

To see a completely goofy and sideways video of myself talking about this gift - - you can join the FRIDAY and FRIENDS group on Facebook and see my 'LIVE'.

It's laughable.

Thanksgiving Recipes.

What are you in charge for your Thanksgiving dinner?

This year we are spending turkey day with Joe's family and I volunteered to bring a couple of veggie dishes.

Thanksgiving dishes are THE BEST.  Everything tastes SO extra yummy that day, am I right?

I thought I'd share some tried and true recipes from years past.  These are all a HIT and have own my stamp of approval!

I made this up one year and it was so yummy...I made it again for Christmas dinner.

It takes a little prep but it is oh so worth it!

If I'm being honest - - I don't LOVE pumpkin pie.
I know, how un-American of me, right?

This Pumpkin CREAM Pie is different though.

The recipe shows you how to make this up and put it into mini jars.  I've done that before but I've also just mixed it all together and made it into one regular sized pie pan.

I wish I had a piece right now.

Creamed corn will forever remind me of Sunday dinners and growing up.  This recipe is my fave.  I'm actually making it up to bring to a church dinner tomorrow night.

The real bonus with this recipe is.....
you can make it in the crockpot.

And lastly....I have an appetizer/dip recipe.

Sadly, I don't have a pic but YOU NEED TO TRUST ME.....IT'S A FAVORITE and is always snarfed gone whenever we bring it somewhere.

I promise you'll love it.

It has bacon in it.

What more could you want?

Bacon & Cream Cheese Dip

2 - 8 oz. packages of cream cheese
12 ounces of shredded Swiss cheese
chopped green onions
1 cup of Mayonnaise
1 package of bacon

Brown your bacon, crumble and set aside.

Mix all remaining ingredients and spread into an 8 1/2 x 11" pan.

Bake on 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Add the crumbled bacon and bake for an additional 10 minutes {or until cheese starts to bubble}.

Serve with crackers - we used Ritz, Club and Triscuits.

2fer Tuesday:

I for reals saw this at Target today.

This is how London and Cubby end up on our floor every.....single...night around midnight.

Who knew dogs slept on their back like that?
Not me.

Also - - how on earth is our floor more comfortable than London's bed? I will never understand this.

Love, love, love this idea!
A personalized note inside?
Even better!
